Boys & Girls Clubs provides youth with a safe place to learn and grow, develop ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals and participate in life-enhancing programs and character development experiences.
The Heart of Boys & Girls Clubs
Clubhouses are open before and after school, when kids have free time and need positive, productive activities.
Every Clubhouse has trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support.
Boys & Girls Clubs ensure all youth can afford to belong. Scholarship opportunities and payment plans are available to those with need.
Clubhouse Programs
Boys & Girls Clubs has a lineup of tested and proven nationally recognized programs that address today’s most pressing youth issues. These programs teach young people the skills they need to succeed in life. More than 40 national programs are available in the areas of education, the environment, health, the arts, careers, alcohol/drug and pregnancy prevention, gang prevention, leadership development and athletics.
Since 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs has provided tens of thousands of Alaskan young people with the programs and experiences necessary to become contributing, productive adults.
As a member agency of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Southcentral Alaska organization is distinguished as one of the largest in the nation and covers the largest geographic area.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Kenai
Boys & Girls Clubs in the Kenai Peninsula areas are governed by a separate non-profit organization. To locate this organization or other Boys & Girls Clubs outside of Alaska, please visit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America web site at www.bgca.org.
