Everlast

Erik Schrody, aka Everlast, is the front man for nationally known rap group House of Pain. He is also a member of the hip-hop supergroup La Coka Nostra. Everlast released his first solo album in 1990 "Forever Everlasting", but unfortunately the album turned out to be a critical and commercial failure.

Not one to be deterred Erik later teamed up with DJ Lethal and Danny Boy to form House of Pain, and in 1992 the released the self-named debut album to multi-platinum commercial success. Everlast's second attempt at a solo album "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues", released a full eight years after his original solo attempt, did much better than his previous attempt, selling 3 million copies by blending Everlast's rapping style with acoustic and electric guitars, creating a musical space between hip-hop and rock that resonated with people over a broad swathe of musical taste.

Everlast continues to perform and record and is an important member of La Coka Nostra, a new hip-hop group formed in 2006 by former House of Pain hype man Danny Boy.
