They were founded in 1992 by Thomas Taliaferro producer to Bobby Brown. Blackstreet and Teddy Riley were the inventors of New Jack Swing. The current members are Teddy Riley, Chauncey Hannibal, Mark Middleton, and Eric Williams. They released a single in 1993 on the soundtrack to "CB4" starring Chris Rock, called, "Baby Be Mine". They had the following hits thereafter."I Wanna Make Love", "Booti Call", "Before I Let You Go", and "No Diggity" They won a Grammy in 1998 for Best R&B Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals. They have collaborated with such artists such as Jay-Z, Janet Jackson, New Edition, Eve, and Busta Rhymes.
